a native of colorado, i have been a resident of arkansas, "the natural state", since 1998. growing up in the rocky mountains imparted to me a great respect and love of nature. i have been practicing the art of both pure and applied photography for over 25 years. for the sake of argument, applied photography refers to shooting anything that i wouldn't normally shoot except for the fact that someone is paying me to do so. this finances my pure photography, which is shooting just for the joy and fulfillment it brings me. alas, too much of the latter and not enough pursuit of the former leads me to my current condition...gainful employment. so where does an idealistic, not-quite-young-person schooled in chemical engineering and computer science do in between photo ops? why, i run a restaurant of course. while it sometimes seems that my job chose me rather than the other way around, i am proud to be a "dave's way" training store manager for wendy's old fashioned hamburgers. so if you ever find yourself in pine bluff, ar. at the pine's mall, look for my store nearby, drop in and say hello.	me at my home away from home
